Story so far

To be honest I didn't really want to do this blog. Too time consuming and well there are other mediums of communication. And I hate typing on touch devices. Give me a real keyboard any day!

Flight over was loooong and soooo boring. Not much turbulence until we hit Nevada and then things got bumpy. To finish off the pilot decided to bounce the plane off the runway before landing for real. Woke us all up that's for sure. Really should have taken a picture of the plane as it emptied, it looked like a teenagers room, the amount of rubbish dumped on the floor was amazing. Some people have no shame.

The ladies had arranged a limo ride from the airport with champagne which to be honest was a disappointment, they didn't even go the long route, just straight there. Had to gulp down the champagne. Oh well, you live and learn.

The hotel is massive, like really massive. And its a good job too with all the people milling around. So. Many. People. Mostly because its weekend and also some boxers were on at the MGM. Meh. Things will hopefully quiet down a bit heading into the week, maybe. Room is lovely, who doesn't like automatic curtains!

Thursday evening was spent walking the strip close to the hotel, having some grub and staying awake as long as possible. We went to bed around 6am UK time, a very long day.

Friday we walked, a lot, reckon 9 or 10 miles in total. Michelle wasn't very happy. Went to the stratosphere (but not the rides!) And then to a discount outlet mall. Think Cheshire Oaks. But a lot warmer. Prices weren't actually that cheap, though I came close to buying some Bose travel speakers. Very close. Subway for lunch which is just like at home! Taxi back from there, at rush hour, which cost $30! Jeez.

Yesterday was Denny's for breakfast then the M&M shop (4 floors!), then queuing for cheap tickets, we got Rod Stewart ones, for Linda. Then headed to Caesers Palace to pick them up, at which point they upgraded us. Which was nice. For Linda. We then explored Caesers which is bigger than our hotel, then back through the Bellagio to the tram back to our hotel. Kind of. Then pretty much back out again to go see Rod. Now I don't like his music but he put on a decent show. For Linda. Then to Planet Hollywood in Caesers which was in some huge Trafford Centre like shopping centre.

Today is booking Grand Canyon tour and doing the Venetian gondola thing.

PS some women around here should really NOT be wearing mini skirts...just sayin.
